Now, get permission for weddings online (by email) in Jaipur

Jaipur: The people will now not have to wait in queues outside Jaipur Collectorate for seeking permission to organize wedding functions in the district. The district administration officials said that the people can apply for wedding permissions by email. They will need to submit some details in the email to get permission. A prior permission is currently required for organizing wedding functions as per the COVID-19 guidelines.
The following email addresses can be used for applying for permission:
- For Sangner: [email protected]
- For Jaipur: [email protected]
- For Amer: [email protected]
The applicant will need to submit the following documents attached with the email:
- ID documents of bride and groom
- Proof of Date of Birth for bride and groom
- The ID document of the parents of the couple
- The address of bride and groom with the details of concerned police station
- The marriage venue address
- Wedding invitation card
“The people were thronging SDO offices seeking permission to organize wedding functions. It was difficult to ensure social distancing guidelines when processing these applications. Now, the people would be able to apply online i.e. by email. We will process the requests as soon as possible,” said a district administration officer.
The Rajasthan government had recently limited the number of people who can attend wedding functions to 100 keeping in view the alarming spread of COVID-19. Those violating this order face a penalty of Rs 25,000.
