Jaipur: The flights will start operating at Jaipur airport at night from June 1. No flights have been operating between 10 pm to 5 am since March 31. The flight operation was stopped due to the ongoing construction of a taxi track parallel to the runway. The work is in final stages and will be completed by May 31, according to the airport authorities.

The taxi track will save landing and take-off time. When a flight is landing, another flight will be able to use the taxi track to reach the runway. It will save at least 3-4 minutes in landings and take-offs, the officials added.

The flight operation will not be allowed for two hours from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm (except on Sundays), but it won’t have any affect because no flights are currently operating during this period. This schedule will be in effect from June 1 to October 26.

The airlines had to adjust the flight timings when the flight operation was stopped at night from March 31.

The Thai Smile flight which was stopped on March 31 will operate again from June 2. The flight will take off for Bangkok at 2.15 am. Indigo flight for Kolkata was also stopped operating on March 31. It will be reintroduced and will take off for Kolkata at 4.35 am.
