Newlywed couple incorrectly declared HIV positive by doctors in Rajasthan

Jaipur: A newlywed in Kota was incorrectly declared HIV positive by doctors in a case of sheer negligence. The couple was traumatized after seeing the report however relieved after getting another HIV test done. The result of the second test was negative. The negligence was on part of a clinic located in Vigyan Nagar of Kota.

The couple had married about a month ago and suffered mental trauma after getting the first report. After this, they did not inform anyone and continued suffering themselves. After a few days, finally, the husband informed his elder brother about this who suggested them to get another test done. The couple visited three different clinics and got three more reports. All of these proved that the result was HIV negative.

Kota was also in news recently after four newborns died within 48 hours at a government hospital. The parents of the deceased had accused negligence on part of the doctors of Jay Kay Lon Hospital in the city. The parents had claimed that doctors did not take care of the newborns. A woman had also alleged that she had high blood pressure problem before the delivery however the doctors did not give her proper medicines.
