New sports club to open at Ramniwas Bagh, foundation stone to be laid next week

Jaipur: Residents visiting Ramniwas Bagh for morning walks may soon see major changes. A new sports club is set to come up in the park area. The Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation is leading the project.
The foundation stone will be laid next week. Urban Development Minister Shubhra Singh is expected to attend the ceremony. The club is being built near the open-air stage in the Phase Van area.

The sports club will feature a variety of courts and pitches. It will include badminton, tennis, volleyball, box cricket, and basketball facilities. Mayor Soumya Gurjar said five separate playing fields will be created. She hopes the move will promote active lifestyles and regular sporting activities.
Meanwhile, the Mayor reviewed other ongoing development works in the city on Monday. It was the fourth review in the last ten days. She was reportedly unhappy with the slow progress in several municipal wards.
Officials discussed new civic projects during the meeting. These include plans for a modern auditorium in Tilak Nagar. The auditorium will be built on land at the community center.
Work is also planned for a new garden with a double basement at the Corporation headquarters. Another proposed project is a utility club with integrated parking.
The initiatives are part of broader efforts to boost urban infrastructure. The municipal body aims to improve public amenities across Jaipur in the coming months.
