New CNG prices in Jaipur
CNG prices have been reduced across Jaipur and three other cities in Rajasthan, bringing relief to thousands of daily commuters and commercial vehicle operators. Torrent Gas has announced a price cut for both CNG and domestic PNG, with the revised rates coming into effect from January 1.
Under the new pricing, CNG will now be available at Rs. 89.16 per kilogram instead of the earlier Rs. 91.1 per kilogram in Jaipur, Kotputli, Khairthal and Alwar. The revised rate does not apply to Bhiwadi. Along with CNG, domestic PNG prices have also been reduced by Rs. 2 per SCM.
According to the company, the reduction makes CNG up to 43 percent cheaper than petrol, strengthening its position as a cost-effective and cleaner alternative for vehicle owners.
Torrent Gas has attributed the price cut to a reduction in gas transportation costs for city gas distribution companies. Officials said operational efficiencies and logistics optimisation have helped bring down supply costs, allowing the benefit to be passed on to consumers.
The company currently operates 69 CNG stations across Jaipur and Alwar, supplying nearly 2.5 lakh kilograms of CNG every day. Jaipur alone has 54 CNG pumps, out of which 15 provide round-the-clock service, ensuring uninterrupted fuel availability for private vehicles, taxis and commercial fleets.
With fuel prices remaining a major concern for urban commuters, the revised CNG rates are expected to encourage more motorists to switch to gas-based vehicles while also easing monthly transport expenses.
