Garima Pathan case: Murder or suicide?

A postmortem examination has revealed prima-facie that the woman drowned in the water tank and it caused her death. The husband was not home when the incident took place. He was reportedly out of the city. He has reportedly told the police that Garima was not depressed and he had no idea as to why she could have taken the extreme step.

Sources said that since the couple had a wedding anniversary, Garima had spoken to her husband, Hamid, over phone on Wednesday night. Hamid promised that he would be home by Thursday morning and celebrate the anniversary with her.

The police are investigating reports about the alleged arguments between the woman and her husband a few days ago. The arguments were reportedly heard by the neighbors.

It was yet unclear as to why Garima Pathan chose to jump into a water tank that had water filled up to only 1.5 feet.
