Munesh who was brutally murdered by her husband Lokesh

Jaipur: A team of Jaipur police has recovered the body of Munesh from the home of her husband – Lokesh Choudhary – in Vadodara. Lokesh strangled to death Munesh with the help of his friend and then buried her body in the pit dug up in the backyard of a rented duplex.

A team led by probationer IPS officer Kavendra Singh took Lokesh to Vadodara to identify the spot where the body had been buried.

It took the cops nearly three hours to pull the body out of the pit. Lokesh had buried the body under bags of salt to ensure fast decomposition.

Lokesh had planned the murder elaborately. He didn’t come to Jaipur to take his wife to Vadodara for Vadodara. To confuse the police, he ensured that the location of his mobile is at his house in Vadodara. Lokesh sent his friend to Jaipur. Lokesh kept the mobile phone of his friend with him, so that the police later couldn’t find that the friend had gone to Jaipur.

The friend travelled to Jaipur and made Munesh talk to her husband. Lokesh told her that there was some emergency and she should immediately leave for Vadodara with his friend. The friend took away her mobile phone and switched it off before leaving Jaipur so that the police couldn’t trace it.

Once Munesh reached Vadodara, Lokesh strangled her to death with the help of his friend. He then informed her father that Munesh was untraceable. He urged the father to lodge a missing persons report.

After Mukesh disappeared from Jaipur and her family members registered an FIR with Bapu Nagar police, Lokesh came to Jaipur pretending as a worried husband and started pressuring the police to locate her.

However, Lokesh’s family members got suspicious. They started enquiring him about Munesh. He finally confessed to having murdered Munesh. The family members were so shocked that they themselves turned him over to the Jaipur police.

DCP Kunwar Rashtradeep said that Lokesh is a resident of Kathumar in Alwar. He got married to Munesh on February 5 last year. Munesh stayed with him in Vadodara for a few days and then shifted to Jaipur to prepare for teacher recruitment examinations.

Lokesh had an extramarital affair with a girl from Alwar. He wanted to get rid of Munesh so that he could marry his girlfriend, police said.
