Jaipur: Hundreds of kids in Jaipur broke a world record on Friday as part of ongoing celebrations to mark the International Mothers’ Day. As many as 1891 children, women and youths put up messages on a bulletin board to express their feelings for their mothers. This endeavor in Jaipur broke the world record for ‘Most Contribution to a Bulletin Board’ set in England by 1139 people.

The event was part of a series of programs being organized by various organizations including Save The Children, Indian Institute of Event Management Research, Titu Print, Gulab Kaushalya Charitable Trust and Rayan International School.

Organizers Mukesh Mishra and Hemant Acharya said that the event was held in Ryan International School.

“We were really surprised to have such a huge participation of people in the event. The event that started at 8.30 am went on till 12.30 pm. People wrote messages to express their feelings for their mothers. The participation of children was particularly spectacular,” said Mishra.

He said that people used stick notepads and put them up on boards.

Social worker Suresh Mishra who was the chief guest at the event said that this types of event show how much we love our parents.
