Meet Shruti and Puneet – RBSC Class 12 toppers who scored 99% marks

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSC) declared the result for science and commerce streams of Class 12 on Wednesday. Puneet Maheshwari from Jaipur and Shruti Halwari from Jhunjhunu scored 99 percent marks in science streams, achieving the feat of Rajasthan toppers in the results.
Puneet secured 99 percent marks. Another student from Jaipur Pooja Agarwal got 492 marks out of 500 in commerce stream. Pooja wants to become a charted accountant and is currently preparing for the exam. Her father Kajodmal Agarwal is a businessman while her mother Kripa Devi is a housewife.
Shruti Halwai from Jhunjhunu secured 495 marks out of 500. She scored perfect 100 in Maths, Physics and English.
She told media persons that in order to stay focused on her studies she kept away from social media and mobile phones.
“I used to study nearly eight hours a day. I wasn’t enrolled in any coaching institute. I studied on my own. I had full support from my teachers so I didn’t feel the need for coaching,” said Shruti.
She said she wanted to join IIT. “I would like to launch my own start up rather than working in a company,” said Shruti.
Shruti father owns a sweets shop in Jhunjhunu while her mother is a housewife.
“I like to spend my spare time learning to dance and painting. I am very thankful for all the support I have been extended by my parents and teachers,” said Shruti.
