MBBS fees structure in Rajasthan to change from next academic session

fees to be 5 times higher in government medical colleges.

Jaipur: Pursuing MBBS and BDS will be costlier from the next academic season. Currently, girls are being charged Rs 2400 and boys are charged Rs 3400 per year for these courses conducted in the government medical colleges in Rajasthan. This fee structure will be increased 5 times from next session. At present girls are not charged tuition fees from second year. As per the new order, the boarding and lodging charges will also be increased by 10 percent every year.

The government has changed the fee structure after 10 years. The changes were announced by the officials on Thursday. Students will be able to pay their fees in two equal installments. Following is the new fee structure announced for BDS and MBBS.

Part A:

Tuition Fees (per year) – Rs 10000 for BDS and Rs  12500 for MBBS

Sports and academic fund (per year) – Rs 8000 for BDS and Rs 8000 for MBBS

Admission Fees (one time) – Rs 10000 for BDS  and Rs 10000 for MBBS

Non-refundable fees (one time) – Rs 3000 for BDS and Rs 3000 for MBBS

Part B

Hostel maintenance charge (single seat, per year) – Rs 15000 for BDS and Rs 15000 for MBBS

Hostel maintenance charge (double seat, per year) – R10000 for BDS and Rs 10000 for MBBS

Electricity and water charge (per year) – Rs  6000 for BDS and Rs 6000 for MBBS

Infrastructure development/welfare charge (per year) – Rs 4000 for BDS and Rs 4000 for MBBS

Non-refundable security charge (one time) – Rs 2000 for BDS and Rs 2000 for MBBS
