Masood Azhar being declared a global terrorist was the third strike on terrorism by India, Prime Narendra Modi said in Hindaun town of Karauli district on Friday. PM Modi was addressing a pubic rally ahead of the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections scheduled to take place in Rajasthan on May 6.

“Rajasthan gave us the opportunity to serve the country in the last elections. We won on all the seats. We believe that we have lived up to the people’s expectations and have not let you down,” said Modi.

He said that the government has taken on terrorism aggressively.

“The kingpin of the terrorism was enjoying patronage in Pakistan and carried out many attacks on India. He was declared a global terrorist. It was the third strike after Surgical Strike and Air Strike. We taught Pakistan a lesson,” said Modi.

He added that no comparison could be drawn between the way the Congress handled terrorism and the BJP did during the previous five years.

He also said that the Rajasthan government didn’t provide the names of the farmers when the central government wanted to deposit money in their bank accounts.

“They talk about farmer loan waiver. They have done nothing for farmers. They have lied and betrayed the farmer community,” said Modi.

The campaigning for the fifth phase in Rajasthan will come to an end on Saturday. The political parties are leaving no stone unturned to make the most of the last two days of campaigning.
