Man spotted filming woman in washroom of popular Jaipur mall; police complaint lodged

JAIPUR: A woman alleged that she caught an unidentified man filming her from atop the washroom wall of Jaipur’s one of the most popular malls – World Trade Park (WTP) – in the Jawahar Circle area. 

The woman screamed and rushed out of the washroom. She immediately reported the incident, but despite extensive investigations, the culprit has not been identified and caught. 

The victim, a 32-year-old resident of Malviya Nagar who works at the mall, reported the matter to the Jawahar Circle police station. The incident occurred on March 10, when the victim was having lunch on the fourth floor of the mall and went to use the washroom around 2:30 pm. Upon entering the washroom, she noticed someone filming her from above the wall with a black-coloured mobile phone. 

Further investigations revealed that none of the security cameras on the floor were working, and there was no security guard present at the time. The victim raised concerns about the mall’s management and whether her privacy would be protected in the future. She also expressed fears about the possibility of other recordings being made before this incident came to light. 

The police are investigating the matter, and they have checked the mobile phones of individuals present at the time of the incident.
