Man who showed support for ‘Love Jihad’ murder case accused arrested in Jaipur
Police arrested the man for disrupting peace.

Jaipur: Updesh Rana, a right-wing organization member who hogged headlines recently for allegedly slapping a cleric in Kolkata was arrested by Jaipur police when he was on his way to Udaipur in support of Shambhulal Gujjar who had brutally killed a Muslim man in Rajsamand district.
Jaipur’s Bagaru police arrested him for disrupting peace, according to preliminary reports.
Rana is a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. There were reports that he had announced his support for Shambhulal Gujjar who shot a video of him killing in cold blood a 50-year-old contractor in Rajsamand recently.
Rana was on his way when he was taken into custody. He was then produced in a jail and then remanded in judicial custody.
On his social media profiles, Rana claims to be an office bearer of Hindu Sanatan Sangh. Rana had reached Jaipur along with his supporters on Wednesday. He was staying at the house of an acquaintance when he was detailed by the police on Thursday.
The police are on high alert since the incident took place on December 7.
Shambhu Lal Reger repeatedly attacked one Mohammed Afrazul with a shovel, brutally killing him. He then poured inflammable substance on the body and put it on fire. Shambhu Lal even shot a video of himself while talking about Love Jihad and patriotism.
Shambhu Lal took Afrazul to an agriculture farm, just 700 meters from the Rajsamand district collector office where he carried out the heinous murder. The farm belongs to the murder accused.
