JAIPUR: A man was honey-trapped and blackmailed in Jaipur. A girl posing as an orphan befriended the man named Lokesh Kumar Meena and extorted money from him by making false excuses.
When he refused to pay her demands, she filed a false rape case against him and demanded Rs 30 lakh. The police have lodged an FIR against the girl and are investigating the matter.
According to the police, Lokesh Kumar Meena, a resident of Karauli, came to Jaipur in 2018 to prepare for a competition exam.
He met the girl during this time, and she pretended to be an orphan and befriended him. She started extorting money from him illegally by asking for help on different pretexts.
Even after Lokesh joined a government job in Shillong Guhati in 2021, the girl remained in constant contact with him through mobile calls and continued to demand money. When he refused to pay, she threatened to implicate him in a false case of honeytrap and demanded Rs 30 lakh.
On October 29, the girl filed a rape case against Lokesh Kumar Meena at Pratap Nagar police station, alleging that he had raped her in 2014 when she was 16 years old. The police have lodged an FIR against the girl and are investigating the matter.
