Jaipur: Man arrested for raping his daughter in Shyam Nagar
The accused kidnapped her daughter sleeping on a footpath and raped her at an isolated place.

Jaipur: Nearly two weeks after a 4-year-old girl was kidnapped from footpath near 200-feet Bypass in Shyam Nagar area, the police on Friday arrested the victim’s father for the crime.
The accused was identified as Sheruram alias Sheru, a resident of Siwana in Bamer. He is a drifter, police said.
The girl had been violated severely. She was found unconscious and rushed to JK Lon Hospital for treatment. The police launched an intense investigation, but hit a blank wall as there were no clues.
“We got the break in the case when the girl gained consciousness after getting treatment and told us that it was her own father who had raped her,” said a police officer.
The girl told the police that she was gagged and taken to an unoccupied plot by her father Sheru.
He raped her. He also attacked the girl’s face and tried to strangle her to death. When her mother woke up a couple of hours after the girl was kidnapped, she found her missing.
The homeless mother launched a search for the girl and found her severely violated. They informed the police following which the girl was rushed to JK Lon Hospital.
The man had tried to kill his daughter so that she couldn’t identify him.
Commissioner of police Sanjay Agarwal said that the police managed to trace the girl’s father after recording her statement.
The accused has been booked under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
