Jaipur: Amid the tug of war over government formation, some Congress MLAs from Maharashtra have been shifted to a resort on the outskirts of Jaipur. Accusing the BJP of horse trading, the Congress highvcommand has decided to keep its MLAs confined to the resort for a few days. No unauthorized entry is being permitted in the area where the MLAs are lodged. Sources said that eight MLAs are currently in the resort and nearly 15 more would be sent here soon.

The resort is located nearly 30 km from Jaipur on Delhi Road. Rajasthan Congress incharge Avinash Pandey is staying in the resort with these MLAs. The media persons tried to get in touch with the legislators, but their attempts were foiled. It was claimed that the MLAs were in Delhi and directly sent to Jaipur for a few days.

The Congress suspects that some BJP leaders are in touch with the Congress legislators in Maharashtra and are trying to lure them into joining the saffron party so that it can form the government.

The BJP won 105 assembly seats, while Siv Sena won 56 seats. The Congress and NCP tally was 44 and 54 respectively.

“Eight Congress MLAs have already arrived in Jaipur and 15 others will follow suit by Friday night. The remaining legislators are likely to arrive by Saturday,” said a Congress leader in Rajasthan.
