Lockdown to be relaxed from tomorrow in Rajasthan, 127 new COVID-19 cases reported

Jaipur: Lockdown will be slightly relaxed in Rajasthan from Monday. The government officials said that the relaxations will be subject to conditions and can be withdrawn if the people didn’t follow social distancing guidelines. The places identified as hot spots will continue to be under lockdown.
The government officials said that home delivery of food will be allowed for restaurants and hotels. Restaurants on highways will also be allowed. Professionals providing services such as electricians, plumbers, motor mechanics, and carpenters will be allowed to work.
Transport for logistics companies will be allowed. Oil mills, wheat mills etc can operate under the relaxed lockdown guidelines. Passes will be required for these relaxations.
“These relaxations are subject to people following social distancing guidelines to contain the spread of coronavirus,” said an officer.
On Sunday, 127 new cases were reported in Rajasthan. Of them, Jodhpur reported 47 cases, highest in the state. Nagaur reported 27, Bharatpur 17, Jaipur 16, Sawaimadhopur and Ajmer 5 each and Jhalawar and Kota 2 each. The total number of cases in the state have reached 1478.
A 65-year-old man died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19. He was admitted to SMS Hospital on April 11 after he tested positive. Five people died in Jaipur on Saturday. The virus has claimed 23 lives in the state so far.
