Jaipur: The government has increased lease deed transfer rates. It was earlier Rs 10 per square metre for plots of all sizes, but it will now be determined on the basis of plot size.

You will pay the lease deed transfer fee as follow:

  • Rs 15 per square metre for plots measuring up to 300 square metre
  • Rs 20 for plots measuring up to 500 square metres
  • Rs 25 for plots measuring more than 500 square metres

What this basically means is that the lease deed transfer is costlier by anywhere from Rs 10,0000 to Rs 1.25 lakh.

Urban development department implemented the news rates on May 12, 2017 at the then when the state government was organizing Chief Minister Shahari Jan Kalyan Shivir.

The government has also withdrawn its decision to provide state grant lease deeds for plots measuring up to 300 square metres free of cost.

The government also decided to accept applications for approving commercial activities in residential premises. The applicant will however have to pay separately.

For using a residential premise for an institutional setup, you will need to pay 5 percent of the area’s land reserve price. For commercial activities, the applicant will pay 10 percent of the reserved price.
