Kishangarh-Delhi direct flight gains popularity as 1700 passengers travel in just 12 days

Jaipur: The first direct flight on Kishangarh-Delhi-Kishangarh route has turned out to be a successful experiment. The flight started by SpiceJet on October 8 flew more than 1700 passengers within a few days.

The new direct flight is getting a good response from the passengers. The timings of the flight will change from October 28.

It will depart from Delhi to Kishangarh at 3:20 pm and will reach Kishangarh at 4:20 pm. The same flight will take off from Kishangarh at 4:40 pm and will arrive in Delhi at 5:35 pm.

The SpiceJet airlines deployed its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on this route. Until now, SG 8768 operating on the Delhi-Kishangarh route departs from Delhi (Terminal 2) at 04.05 pm and reaches Kishangarh at 5:10 pm, whereas SG 8769 operational on the Kishangarh-Delhi route departs at 05.30 pm from Kishangarh.

According to the airport administration, more than 1700 passengers have travelled in the flight on the new route. The passenger load is likely to increase in the near future. The tourism sector in the area, particularly Ajmer, is also getting a boost due to the flight connectivity.

The introductory one-way fare for Delhi-Kishangarh flight is Rs. 2060 and for Kishangarh-Delhi is Rs. 1980.

The holy city of Ajmer is one of the most popular pilgrimages in India as lakhs of people visit the world famous Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. The direct air connectivity will not just benefit pilgrims but boost the overall tourism industry of the state.
