JOURNEEES: Ivory Coast Fest held at Poornima University in Jaipur

JAIPUR: The association of Ivorians in India hosted their annual retreat, Journees, at Poornima University (PU) in Jaipur. The event was graced by the Ambassador of Ivory Coast to India, HEM Eric Camille N’Dry, and attracted around 100 students from Ivory Coast studying in Poornima University and various other institutes across India.
The program began with a formal welcome and introductory meeting, which included the Ambassador of Ivory Coast, HEM Eric Camille N’Dry, officials from the Ivory Coast embassy, Rahul Singhi, Director of Poornima Group, Dr. Suresh Padhy, President of PU, Dr. Manoj Gupta, Pro President of PU, Dr. Chandni Kirplani, Registrar of PU, Dr. Swati Gokhru, Dean of International Relations at PU, Meenakshi Malav, Director of Admissions at PU, and representatives from various industries such as Fleeca and Zoho.
The board meeting was followed by training workshops on artificial intelligence and climate change, led by His Excellency Eric Camille N’DRY. The participants engaged in detailed discussions on climate change and new trends in artificial intelligence.
A round-table conference on “How to advance in the corporate world” was also held at the seminar hall of the Academic block of Poornima University.
The panelists included Solomon Raj and Nataraj Bhaskar from Zoho Corporation, Tikam Jain, CEO and Founder of Fleeca India, Katha Prasad, representative of Fleeca, and Dr. Swati Gokhru, Dean of International Relations at PU. The panel discussion was followed by games and sports activities for the students.
On the second day, the diaspora gathered in their vibrant traditional attire, representing their culture and tradition. The event was a testament to love, support, unity, and friendship, and commitment towards strengthening ties and brotherhood between the two countries.
In their addresses, Ar. Rahul Singhi and Dr. Suresh Padhy expressed their joy in hosting the event and their commitment to providing all possible facilities to welcome the students at the campus. The ambassador also ensured his constant support and appreciated the efforts of the association and Poornima University in hosting this significant event.
The ceremony concluded with cultural performances, felicitation of awards to performers and academic achievers, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Swati Gokhru, Dean of International Relations at PU. The event was a great success, fostering enhanced relations between the two countries and promoting unity and friendship among the diaspora.
