Jodhpur: Navy pilot booked for causing flight delay
A bomb hoax delayed the Air India flight for 4 hours.

Jaipur: A verbal argument between security officials at Jodhpur airport and a navy pilot delayed a flight for four hours. The flight was bound to Jaipur from Delhi via Jodhpur.
Navy pilot, identified as Bhanupratap Singh Godara, a resident of Nokha in Bikaner allegedly wanted to get off the plan at Jodhpur.
It led to a verbal argument between the airport security officials and Bhanupratap. The argument soon turned into a bomb hoax, triggering panic among 180 passengers who were onboard the plane. The flight was thoroughly searched. An FIR was registered against Bhanupratap with Ratanada police station in Jodhpur. Bhanu Pratap claimed that he was a lieutenant in the Navy.
The Air India flight number – 475 took off from Delhi around 12.55 and reached Jodhpur 2 pm. It was to leave for Jaipur
Bhanupratap asked that he be allowed to get off the flight as his village was nearby and his wife was pregnant. The flight staff didn’t permit this. Bhanupratap allegedly get off the flight despite objections and got into a verbal argument with airport officials when they tried to stop him from leaving the airport. Bhanupratap argued that he was a Navy lieutenant, so he was aware of the security protocol. Soon the verbal argument turned into a bomb hoax.
The flight could leave for Jaipur around 6.30 pm.
Air India crew registered an FIR against the Navy officer. The police brought him to the police station for interrogation.
