Jodhpur: ACB arrests RAS officer taking bribe of Rs 10000

Jaipur: The Jodhpur team of Rajasthan Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a RAS officer identified as ADM II and Additional charges ADM III Vijay Singh Nahata after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 in Jodhpur on Thursday.
The accused RAS officer asked for the bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant – Pappudas – for directing the orders of land demarcation on his land.
The accused Vijay Singh Nahata is a native of Jodhpur and is currently posted as RAS officer on ADM II and additional charges of ADM III.
According to the ACB officials, the ACB received a complaint from Pappudas, a resident of Jodhpur. He is a farmer.
As per the complainant, the accused official Vijay Singh asked a bribe amount of Rs 10,000 from him for directing the orders of building boundary around his land (land demarcation).
After the ACB verified the complaint and found it to be genuine, a trap was laid.
The ACB officials caught RAS officer Vijay Singh red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 on Wednesday at his office. He has been arrested and booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The officials will soon present him in the court.
