JMC seals coaching institute for lack of FIR NOC

Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has sealed a coaching institute building in Gopalpura Bypass area for not obtaining FIR NOC. The coaching institute didn’t obtain the NOC despite the civic body service notices twice.
“We had served notices on Paramount Coaching twice, first on May 25 and then on July 20. In the notice, we asked the coaching institute authorities to either shut down the building or obtain an NOC, but they didn’t pay heed,” Deputy commissioner fire Abha Beniwal.
A JMC team sealed the building under various sections of Rajasthan Municipality Act. Further investigation is going on.
The JMC had served notices to 24 coaching centres in the city in the aftermath of fire tragedy in Surat town of Gujarat.
The coaching centres didn’t make any upgrades in the fire safety arrangements. In fact, most coaching centres don’t have any fire fighting equipment installed.
The coaching centers which were inspected by JMC teams include Paramount Coaching Centre, Vision Academy, KSC Institute of IAS, Chankya IAS Academy , CLAT Coaching Classes, Pragya Coaching Classes, Mothers Education Hub, Gantavya Career Institute, QIT Academy Coaching Centre.
