Jaipur: Famous leopard of the Jhalana forest reserve – known as Flora – was spotted with two cubs. This is her fifth litter. She has given birth to 12 cubs. The forest department has stepped up security in the area where the leopard was spotted with the cubs. Flora is the most spotted leopard in the Jhalana reserve and has contributed to an increase in the number of wildlife lovers visiting the park.

‘Flora’ was spotted with two nearly-born cubs on Track – 2 in Jhalana reserve. The tourists were enthralled to see the leopard with her cubs. They clicked the wild animals’ photographs and shot videos. Some of the cubs previously littered by Flora were named Prince, Jalebi, Kajod and Keshar.

A wildlife expert said that Flora has become one of the most popular wild animals in Jhalana reserve because its territory is in the area where tourists are taken on a panther safari. Her cubs are also spotted frequently in the same area. This has made Jhalana a popular forest reserve situated in the middle of a city.

Three female leopards have littered 38 cubs in the Jhalana reserve in the recent past. Leopard known as ‘Ms Khan’ have littered a total of 13 cubs. Another leopard ‘LK Female’ has littered 13 cubs.
