Jaipur: Want to know the journey of a gemstone from mines to jewelry? Here’s your chance to explore it in the upcoming event of pink city’s 12th jewelers’ association show, JAS’18 from August 31 to September 3 at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC), Sitapura, Jaipur, where the journey of the gemstone will be celebrated.
Jaipur is known worldwide for its jewelry and gem stones. The event will showcase how the gemstone is transformed into jewelry from mines.
JAS is an initiative of Jewelers Association and has successfully completed 11editions in the past. It was first started in the year 2007.
It will bring together manufacturers, retailers, designers, artisans, wholesalers, and buyers from across the globe to create a unique business environment. It will offer jewelers, an opportunity to have in-depth discussions with India’s best manufacturers and to meet many new suppliers in the Gems & Jewellery industry.
Established in the pre-independence era in the year 1927, the association was incepted with an idea to promote the growth of gems and jewellery trade of Jaipur. It provides a platform to jewellery-enthusiasts to converge and bring healthy business at one platform.
According to Jewelers Association’s President, Sanjay Kala and Secretary DP Khandelwal, the journey to increase the glow of rare stone emanated from mines will be told this time. This is the first time when the theme of a show will be related to the journey of gemstone. After removing gemstones from mines, stones go through the process tending, cutting and polishing to finally become jewelry.
.JAS in the year 2017 hosted more than 506 booths from various regions, welcoming over 30,000 visitors across the world. Making event’s position as a vital jewelry marketplace that every jeweler and connoisseur cannot afford to miss.
Association runs its office amidst Johari Bazaar (The Jewelers Market), Jaipur. Throughout the years, The Jewelers Association has procured a position of notoriety on both International and national gems field. Jaipur has been known for its vintage-motivated yet stunning style of adornments over the world. The affiliation has taken the Jaipur Jewelry to fresher statures.
