Jaipur: City traffic police have put in place a wide network of diversions, a no-parking ring around the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and a city-wide ban on heavy vehicles for the IPL fixture between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals scheduled at the venue this evening.

Several arterial stretches will be closed to general traffic during the match. Vehicles moving from University Gate towards the University Mode end of Tonk Road will be turned off at Janta Store and routed through alternative roads. If pressure builds up on Tonk Road, traffic from Gandhi Nagar Mod will be diverted onto Gandhi Circle, while vehicles entering from RBI Cut will be sent towards Ganesh Mandir.

The flow from JDA Chauraha to Rambagh Chauraha will be redirected through Gandhi Circle and Trimurti Circle. Diversions will also be enforced between Statue Circle and Polo Circle, and along Pankaj Singhvi Marg up to the Vidhan Sabha Tiraha.

Police expect the heaviest congestion on the Gandhi Nagar Mod–Narayan Singh Tiraha stretch of Tonk Road, the JDA Chauraha–Rambagh Chauraha corridor, the Polo Circle–22 Godam stretch on Bhawani Singh Road, the Statue Circle–Polo Circle stretch on Bhagwan Das Road, and on Janpath, Pankaj Singhvi Marg and Collectory Marg. Commuters have been advised to avoid these routes and plan alternatives.

The entire ring around the stadium has been declared a no-parking zone. The restriction extends from Gandhi Nagar Mod to Narayan Singh Tiraha along Tonk Road, from Rambagh Circle to 22 Godam Circle along Bhawani Singh Road, between Statue Circle and the Vidhan Sabha Tiraha, and along Pankaj Singhvi Marg from the Vidhan Sabha Tiraha through the Fruit Mandi cut up to Tonk Road. Separate parking arrangements have been made for ticket-holders and VIPs.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter Jaipur city until the match concludes, with ambulances and essential-service vehicles exempted. Roadways buses will operate via Narayan Singh Tiraha, the Prithviraj T-Point and Prithviraj Road, Statue Circle, Park Prime and the Chaumun House crossing during the diversion period.
