Jaipur: A government multi super specialty hospital with a capacity of 500 beds will start operating and providing medical and health services to Jaipurites by the end of July. The hospital will be on the premises of RUHS College of Medical Sciences in Pratap Nagar.
Rajasthan University of Heath Sciences (RUHS) officials said that the hospital - being built with an investment of Rs 125 crore – will ease the pressure on SMS Hospital as it will be equipped with all the modern facilities and equipment including outdoor, indoor, OT, emergency and blood bank.
The hospital will provide medical attention to people injured in accidents in the eastern parts of the city including Tonk Road, Pratap Nagar and Shivdaspura. All the test facilities including blood and urine tests, ECG, digital X-ray and sonography will be available under one roof. Services of specialized doctors including neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedics, gynecologist, cardiologist and plastic surgeon will be available round the clock.
There will be about 10 OTs. Paralysis patients will get specialized treatment as the hospital will have a spinal center on the lines of Indian Spinal Surgery Center in Delhi.
“The hospital will be operational by the end of July. There will be a specialty clinic in the outdoor,” said RUHS College of Medical Sciences spokesperson Dr Sudhanshu Kakkad.
