Jaipur: RTO strike ends; Transport inspectors, SIs resume work

Jaipur: The strike of RTO inspectors in Jaipur and across the state ended on Tuesday after the Rajasthan transport department agreed to meet their three major demands.
Driving license, renewal and all other RTO-related works resumed on Tuesday. The transport department has constituent a committee to discuss other demands made by RTO inspectors.

Jaipur Regional Transport Office (RTO) officials had gone on a strike on Monday and presented a list of demands before the government.
Several people suffered due to the strike as all the works came to a standstill at RTO. Various applications were delayed.
By seeing this, the Transport department agreed to meet three major demands on Tuesday and for a decision on other demands, a committee has been set up.
Earlier on Monday, the clerical staff was on strike at Jaipur RTO and due to the electricity issues, several people couldn’t get their work done at Jaipur RTO. After that, RTO inspectors also announced the strike from the midnight on Monday and the work came to a halt.
Applicants who applied for driving licenses or any other RTO-related work, renewal of permits, issuance of NOC’s and learning/permanent licenses returned disappointed due to the strike.
