Jaipur reports highest number of COVID-19 cases in a day

Jaipur: As many as 259 people tested positive for COVID1-19 in the city on Saturday, the highest ever in a single day. Jaipur and Jodhpur are the worst affected cities in the state in terms of coronavirus spread. In Jodhpur, 24 policemen including a station house officer (SHO) tested positive. The total number of cases in Rajasthan has gone up to 69264.

Rajasthan reported 1310 cases on Sunday. The number of active cases has gone up to 1417. Some districts in the state including Bharatpur have announced lockdown measures to contain the spread of the virus.

In Jaipur, 8574 people have tested positive for COVID-19. Of them, 251 died. The number of active cases in the city is 2680, while 5643 have been discharged from hospitals after treatment.
