Jaipur reports 91 new Covid-19 cases in a day

Omicron testing increased in Jaipur

Jaipur: Jaipur reported a record number of Covid-19 cases on Wednesday. As many as 91 people tested positive for coronavirus in the state capital. There were 133 cases across the state. Bikaner reported 12 cases – the second highest in Rajasthan.

Over the past two days, the district jail in Ghat Gate area has reported 21 cases, indicating that Covid-19 is spreading among the inmates. The jail administration has isolated the prisoners who tested positive.

The state reported 22 new cases of Omicron variant coronavirus. Of them 10 were reported in Ajmer, 9 in Jaipur, 2 in Bhilwara and 1 in Jodhpur. Of these people, four recently returned from foreign countries. Three were those who came in contact with them. Two returned after visiting other states in the country. The total number of verified Omicron cases has gone tup to 68 in the state. Among them, 39 were reported in Jaipur. Of 46 people who tested positive for this variant earlier, 44 have recovered.
