Jaipur: Report on ‘arbitrary’ fee increase finds schools at fault

Jaipur: The parents continued to protest against the alleged aribritary increase in the fee, the education department has submitted a report on the fee increase by St Anselm School in Mansarovar and Mahaveer Public School to the directorate in Bikaner for further action.

According to the education department officials, the report has been prepared after an investigation into the allegations of parents that the rules were flouted by these two schools when the fee was increased.

District education officer Ramchandra Pilania it has come during investigation that no school-level fee committee was formed by St Anselm School administration. The management committee decided to go ahead with the increase in fee. The school sold books and dresses on its premises. The investigation also found irregularities on part of Mahaveer School administration in the matter of fee increase.

The parents on Saturday protested outside St Anselm School in Malviya Nagar. They shouted slogans against school fee increase and demanded an action against school administration. Similar protests were organized at– Jayshree Periwal High School – located at Chitrakoot earlier.
