Jaipur police arrests notorious criminal Mandeep alias Mandiya
The criminal was allegedly involved in the murder of Mahendra Godara in Churu.

Jaipur: The city police on Wednesday arrested a notorious criminal identified as Mandeep alias Mandiya who is wanted in connection with the infamous Mahendra Godara murder case of Churu. Mandeep was also wanted in a case of demanding a ransom of Rs 1.75 crore. An FIR in the ransom case is registered against him with Sadar police station in Jhunjhunu.
DCP, south Yogesh Dadhich said that a special drive for catching known criminals is being undertaken by the district police. A team formed to catch these people spotted nearly suspicious looking men in Shipra Path area early in the morning.
Police officials claimed that five men were on bikes and when they saw the police team approaching, they tried to open fire at them. Two of them were caught and interrogated. It came up that one of them was Mandeep Meghwal alias Mandiya. Others managed to escape taking advantage of darkness.
Mandeep has a total of 22 cases registered against him. They include murder, attempt to murder, loot, dacoity, theft, excide, arms and kidnapping. He carried a cash reward of Rs 25,00 on his head. The award was announced by Jhunjhunu police.
Mandeep was also wanted in a dacoity of Rs 1.90 lakh in Jhunjhunu’s Navalgarh area recently.
