Jaipur: Online appointment now mandatory for passport inquiry

Jaipur: People visiting the Regional Passport Office located in Jhalana Doongri will have to make an online appointment even for an inquiry. People who have questions regarding police inquiry, documents, etc related to their passports will have to first make this online appointment. This service will be operational from Monday.

SR Meena, an official from the passport office, stated that this being done as per orders from the Ministry of External Affairs. About 100 applicants will be issued appointments on a daily basis. They will have to bring a copy of the online appointment receipt after which they will be allowed to enter the passport office. Applicants can get an online appointment after logging onto www.passportindia.gov.in and visiting the schedule appointment section.
