Jaipur: Newly elected Congress councillor Dashrath Singh has accused the husband of a Jaipur heritage municipal BJP mayor aspirant Kusum Yadav of offering him money. Dashrath Singh approached the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) and registered a complaint in this regard against Kusuam Yadav’s husband Ajay Yadav. Ajay however refuted the allegations and said that it was a ploy on part of the Congress government before the mayor elections.

Dashrath Singh has handed over two audio clips allegedly suggesting horse trading attempts by the BJP. Kusum Yadav is one of the candidates in the race for the post of Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation mayor.

Dashrath Singh alleged that the BJP didn’t get the majority in the elections and hence it is trying to bribe independent and Congress councillors. The Congress is currently hoarding over 55 councillors from the party who won the elections in a hotel in Kukas.

Dashrath Singh alleged that he was offered Rs 25 lakh and several other perks by Ajay Yadav. He said that other councillors have also been contacted.

Ajay Yadav however said that he was ready to face any enquiry. “It’s not my voice in the audio. I am willing to provide voice sample if necessary. It’s a propaganda by the Congress before the mayor elections,” Yadad told media persons.
