Jaipur: Man murders friend at home after liquor party
It is suspected that the accused, Sanjay Roy , hit the victim on his head with some heavy object and then strangled him to death. The victim’s mother has lodged an FIR with Brahmapuri police station against Sanjay under IPC sections pertaining to homicide.

Jaipur: A 30-year-old man, identified as Hemant Vaswani, was murdered by his friend after both consumed alcohol at the victim’s house in Brahmapuri area in Jaipur on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. According to police officials, it is suspected that the accused, Sanjay Roy , hit the victim on his head with some heavy object and then strangled him to death. The victim’s mother has lodged an FIR with Brahmapuri police station against Sanjay under IPC sections pertaining to homicide.
DCP North Satyendra Singh Choudhary said that Hemant and Sanjay consumed alcohol near Jal Mahal on Monday night. Hemant who runs an ecommerce business brought Sanjay to his home in Shankar Nagar in Kagadivada in Brahmapuri area around midnight. Hemant’s mother Sarita served dinner to the duo. She and her daughter went to another room. On Tuesday morning, Hemant’s mother saw Sanjay jumping over the boundary wall and running. She rushed to Hemant’s room and saw it bolted from outside. She found the body of Hemant lying in a pool of blood.
The mother informed the police following which a police team from Bhrahmapuri police station rushed to the spot. A forensic examination was conducted.
“It is suspected that Sanjay first hit Hemant on his head and then strangled him to death. We found a country-made gun and 12 cartridges from Hemant’s room. Hemant had divorced his wife and used to bring his friends home for parties. A separate case under Arms Act has been registered,” said a police officer.
The cops have launched a search for the accused.
