Jaipur: ITC Rajputana general manager remanded in police custody

Jaipur: ITC Rajputana general manager Rishi Raj Singh who was arrested for molesting Mexican women in their room at the hotel was produced in a court in Jaipur on Thursday. The court remanded him in police custody. Read Also: ITC Rajputana manager arrested for molesting Mexican women
Rishi Raj Singh had moved to ITC Rajputana in Jaipur in the last week of March. Earlier, he also worked at ITC Maurya and ITC Sheraton in New Delhi. Ritu Raj Singh was produced in the court of chief judicial magistrate.
Rishiraj Singh was arrested on Wednesday after two Mexican women complained that he forcefully entered their room and molested one of them. The police officials have conducted a medical examination to ascertain if the manager was under the influence of alcohol.
A farewell party was being organized at the hotel on Tuesday night. After having liquor in the party, the manager allegedly called up the two women on their phone. The women were in their room. When they didn’t respond, Rishi Raj allegedly went to their room and entered forcefully.
He allegedly stayed in the room for 10 minutes. The footages of CCTVs installed in the gallery allegedly show him entering the room and then coming out. One of the women who opened the door shouted for help. After Rishiraj left the room, she called up a relative in Mexico and narrated the incident to him. He informed the Mexican embassy in India. The embassy officials forwarded the complaint to Jaipur police commissionerate. Responding swiftly, a police team was rushed to the hotel around 3 am on Wednesday. After examining the CCTV footages, the cops took Rituraj into custody.
The police recorded the statement of the victims following which they left for Embassy of Mexico in India.
