The stepfather is now on the run.
Jaipur: The city police have lodged an FIR against a man for raping his 12-year-old stepdaughter.
The girl had told her mother about sexual harassment, but her ordeal didn’t end. She finally mustered courage and wrote it all down on a piece of paper and dropped it in her school’s letter box. The letter reached the principal following which an FIR was registered with Sadar police station in Jaipur against the stepfather. The man is now on the run and the police have launched a search for him.
As per the statement given to the police, the girl said that her father had died a few years ago. Her mother started a relationship with Ramesh Gujjar (changed name) who worked in the railways.
The woman has two children from her first marriage – a son and a daughter. Both the siblings were happy to have a man again in their life, but their happiness came to an abrupt end when Gujjar started misbehaving and then molesting his stepdaughter.

The girl then told her friend who advised her to approach their teacher. The teacher asked her to write her complaint and drop it in the school’s letter box. The principal was stunned when he learnt about the harassment. She approached the police.
