Jaipur gets to host the World Echocardiography Conference

Jaipur: The city is hosting the prestigious World Echocardiography Conference for four days from October 5 to October 8. This conference was a regularly hosted in Delhi, however this year around, Jaipur has got the opportunity to host this important event. Birla Institute of Scientific Research located at Statue Circle is the venue for this conference which is seeing the participation of more than 200 heart specialist doctors from 50 different countries.
More than 100 research papers are expected to be read out during this gathering. These will highlight the progress made in the study of heart diseases as well as some case studies. Latest technological advances and usage of equipment will also be discussed. This annual conference is being organized by the Indian Academy of Echocardiography. Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf was the Chief Guest and declared the conference open on the morning of the first day. The President of The Cardiological Society of India, Dr. PK Dave is also attending this conference.
The event will also feature a World Congress of Clinical Cardiology, Echocardiography & Allied Imaging Techniques. This is done under the guidance of the International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (ISCU) which promotes an exchange of ideas and information among members of various countries. It also highlights the advances made in science and art of cardiovascular ultrasound and encourages a deeper understanding of this subject. An international interaction of physicians, sonographers, and echocardiographers to enable members of one country to visit laboratories in other countries is also promoted by this Society.
On October 8, from 7 am to 9 am the Conference will encourage participation from the common public by conducting an interactive session called ‘Heart Talk’. This will be held at The Royal Haveli located opposite the Birla Institute. America doctor of Indian origin, Dr. Navin Nanda, Australia’s Dr. Thomas Marvick, India’s Dr. HK Chopra along with Dr. Ravi Kasliwal, Dr. SK Parashar, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, and Dr. Vijay Raghwan will conduct this session. There are no entry fees for attending this interactive session.
