Jaipur gangrape case: rape victim’s story found concocted

Jaipur: A 22-year-old girl allegedly connived with her boyfriend and concocted a bogus storey of gang rape in Jaipur.

Four days after the alleged gang rape incident took place, the police discovered that she and her boyfriend were planning to blackmail the latter’s friends by framing them in a bogus rape case.

The girl alleged on Tuesday that she was kidnapped from Jaipur railway station. She said that she hired an auto and as soon as she left the railway station, three men got into the auto and kidnapped her.

They took her to an isolated place and then gang raped her. She accused even the auto driver of raping her. She alleged she was raped throughout the night on Monday and then dumped near one of the entrance gates of MNIT the next day. She then called up the police control room.

The police were on their toes for four days, only to discover that the girls’ allegations were bogus. The police studied the call details of the girl’s cellphone and then then rounded up her boyfriend and six others including one Sadeep.

The suspects were interrogated in front of the girl. Contradictory statements from the girl as well as the suspects came out.

Sources said that the girl and her boyfriend wanted to blackmail Sandeep by threatening to frame him in a bogus rape case.

Sandeep called up the girl when she was in Alwar appearing for a competition exam on Sunday. Sandeep asked her to come to her boyfriend flat in Jagatpura where they made a consensual relationship, Sandeep has reportedly told the police.

Sandeep then dropped the girl at the flat of one of his friends on Monday evening. Her boyfriend picked her up from the flat early on Tuesday and dropped her near MNIT.

A forensic examination of flat where the  alleged rape took place was conducted.
