Jaipur: A 19-year-old BTech student fell to death from the third floor of an apartment building in Pratap Nagar on Tuesday evening.

The deceased, Manoj Bairagi, a BTech second year student of JECRC, had come to visit his friend when the incident occurred.

The police are investigating whether Manoj committed suicide by jumping or he fell accidentally.

The incident took place at Pushpa Enclave in Pratap Nagar.

The deceased Manoj was a resident of Nimbaheda.

He was second year student at Jaipur Engineering College and Research Centre (JECRC). He stayed in the college’s hostel.

“He had come to visit his friend in Pushpa Enclave. A few other friends were also there. Manish came out of the flat on the third floor of building and fell,” said a police officer.

Police interrogated Manish’s friends who reportedly said that all were sleeping inside the flat when Manish fell.

He first fell on a bike and then the road.

He sustained serious head injuries.

Manish was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

A postmortem examination was conducted on Wednesday.
