Jaipur: Engineering student commits suicide after sending WhatsApp message to friend
The student, identified as Vivek Grover hanged himself at his house. The police recorded the statement of the friend and said that it was under investigation as to what caused the student to take the extreme steep.

Jaipur: A 26-year-old engineering student committed suicide after sending a message to his friend in Shiprapath area of Jaipur on Saturday. The student, identified as Vivek Grover hanged himself at his house. The police recorded the statement of the friend and said that it was under investigation as to what caused the student to take the extreme step. The police suspect that he was into a relationship and might have committed suicide depressed over a break-up.
The police got the information about the student’s suicide around 6 pm on Saturday. Vivek’s parents were not home when he ended his life.
“They had gone to attend the inauguration of a shop by a relative. When they returned home from the function, they found Vivek hanging from the ceiling of his room. They informed the police following which the student was rushed to a hospital. He was declared brought dead by the doctors. We put the body in the mortuary of a hospital for a postmortem examination,” said the officer.
The officer added that a forensic examination of the room where the student hanged himself has been conducted.
“Vivek sent a message to a friend from his mobile phone. In the message, he said that nobody was responsible for his actions. He was not happy and he couldn’t live without someone. Who that someone is what we are investigating,” said the officer.
The officer added that body had been handed over to the family members after a postmortem examination. Further investigation is going on.
