Jaipur: Elderly man honey-trapped, property dealer arrested for blackmail
The accused caught red-handed taking money from the victim.

Jaipur: The city police on Wednesday arrested a 40-year-old property dealer for allegedly blackmailing an elderly man on the basis of some photographs showing the victim with a girl. The victim paid more than Rs 50 lakh to the gang, but when the demands didn’t stop, he confided in his family. An FIR was registered against the property dealer and he was caught red-handed taking money from the victim.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Manna Lal Choudhary, is a resident of Ashok Vihar in Mansarovar.
Manna Lal is a property dealer. The victim alleged that he had been acquainted with Manna Lal for several years. Nearly one and a half years ago, Manna Lal asked the victim to come to a farm house. When the victim reached there, a girl was already there. Manna Lal introduced the girl as being his friend and shot some photographs with the girl.
On the basis of these visuals, Manna Lal allegedly started blackmailing the victim. The elderly man allegedly paid more than Rs 50 lakh.
Manna Lal continued to squeeze money out of him and when he again demanded money, the victim told his family members about his plight. The family members went to special operations group (SOG) officials who asked Mansarovar police to investigate the case after the complaint was found genuine.
An FIR was registered by Mansarovar police. The police made the victim speak to Manna Lal over phone. The victim asked Manna Lal to come to his house and collect the money. Manna Lal was allegedly caught red-handed while taking the money from the victim.
