JAIPUR: Gangster Rohit Godara has been accused of threatening a businessman for money in Jaipur. The businessman lodged a complaint at Manakchowk police station after receiving death threats on WhatsApp from an international mobile number. SI Dashrath Singh is currently investigating the case.
According to the police, the 64-year-old businessman, who resides in Bani Park and owns a saree shop at Badi Chowpar, was sitting at his shop on the evening of December 22nd when he received a WhatsApp call at 7:05 pm. The caller introduced himself as Rohit Godara and questioned why the victim hadn’t given Radheshyam’s money.
When asked about Radheshyam’s identity, Godara threatened him by saying that he would find out soon and used abusive language. He demanded that Radheshyam’s money be handed over or else he would shoot the businessman. After making these terrifying threats, Godara abruptly ended the call.
Terrified by this incident, the victim promptly went to Manakchowk police station and filed a complaint based on the international mobile number used during the call.
The victim explained to authorities that he has no association with Radheshyam whatsoever. He clarified that around three to four years ago, Aryan Industries had been contracted for constructing a flat in Jaisinghpura area but were eventually replaced due to their unsatisfactory work.
Legal matters were settled when Aryan Industries took them to court; therefore, there are no pending dealings concerning any person named Radheshyam. Despite this fact, someone claiming to be Rohit Godara called him via WhatsApp and demanded payment for Radheshyam while threatening his life in return.
