Jaipur: Broad daylight firing outside UCO Bank creates panic
Four youths on two bikes opened fire outside the bank in Prem Nagar colony around noon.

Jaipur: Unidentified bikers opened fire at some people outside UCO Bank in Prem Nagar Colony of Jagatpura, creating panic among bank customers and people passing by. The incident took place in broad day light. The firing was caught on CCTV. Some of the bullets were lodged on the outside wall of the bank. The police are examining CCTV footages to identify the shooters.
The shootout took place around noon on the road outside UCO bank in Prem Nagar.
As per eyewitness accounts, nearly four youths on two bikes were spotted outside the bank. They opened fire at a bike ahead of them. They fired several rounds of bullets. They then sped away.
People who witnessed the incident ran for safety. There are many coaching institutes in the area. As the news of the firing spread, panic gripped the entire colony. People said that there were customers inside the bank when the incident took place.
Senior police officers including DCP Kunwar Rashtradeep rushed to the spot.
Jawahar Nagar police have launched an investigation.
Police have received footages of CCTV installed outside the bank.
They said that the bikers would be identified soon.
The police have also launched a search for bikers on the shooters on the basis of registration number of bikes.
