Amit Shah inaugurating memorial of Deendayal Upadhyaya

Jaipur: BJP national President Amit Shah inaugurated a memorial of Jan Sangh leader Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at Dhanakya on Wednesday. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje welcomed him at Jaipur airport.

Union Minister of Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also accompanied Amit Shah.

The BJP leaders left for Dhanakya, which is the birthplace of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya in a helicopter. Dhankaya is nearly 25 km from Jaipur.

Amit Shah inaugurated the memorial at Dhankaya in the presence of several dignitaries including Rajya Sabha MP Om Mathur, minister Ramlal, BJP State President Madan Lal Saini, Assembly Vice President Rao Rajendra Singh, Industry minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat, tourism minister Krishnendra Kaur ‘Deepa’, Mayor Ashok Lahoti and district head Mool Chand Meena.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and BJP President Amit Shah addressed the gathering during the inauguration ceremony at Dhanakya.

BJP President Amit Shah said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya faced many challenges but he brought about positive changes in the political world by changing people’s mentality. This memorial will honour the strong will and life story of the great personality.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Memorial is a 60-feet tall four-storied circular building comprising of Upadhyaya’s 15-feet high statue, panoramas depicting his life and a digital hologram.
After the inauguration ceremony, BJP president addressed a meeting of the party’s booth-level officials in Jaipur.
