Jaipur: The right-wing organizations have called for a bandh in Jaipur on Thursday in protest against the murder of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur. The organizations held a meeting at Seva Sadan in the city on Wednesday. They said that all the markets and commercial activities – except for essential services – will remain closed in the city. They have also planned a protest march in the city on July 3.

BJP state president Satish Poonia and representatives of many social and religious organisations including RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and Bajrang Dal were also present in the meeting of Hindu organizations in Jaipur against Kanhaiyalal’s murder.

During this, Poonia targeted the Congress government. Poonia said that communal harmony is deteriorating continuously under the rule of the Congress government in Rajasthan. Innocent people are being murdered in such a brutal manner. Criminals are committing blatant crimes in the state whereas Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is only trying to save his government. In such a situation, he should resign from his post on moral grounds.

Keeping in view the tense situation, the administration has decided to continue with the ban on mobile internet services in all districts of Jaipur division till 5.30 pm on Thursday.

A heavy police force will also be deployed in the city during the bandh, police officials said. The police are organizing meetings of peace committees that consist of representatives of various religions. They appealed for peace and harmony and not to spread rumours.
