Jaipur-Agra NH accident: 5 killed as jeep rams into truck in Dausa

Jaipur: In a tragic road accident on Jaipur-Agra national highway (NH-21) in Dausa district on Tuesday, five people were killed after a jeep rammed into a stationed bus. At least 12 people were injured in the mishap. Police teams rushed to the spot after the incident. The locals helped the police in rescue operation. The injured were admitted to a hospital in Dausa, but some of them were referred to a Jaipur hospital due to their critical condition.

The incident took place on NH-21 in the district. A jeep collided with a bus stationed near Balaji Junction. Five people, including two women passengers of the jeep, died on the spot, while 12 others people were seriously injured in this whole incident. A police officer said that at least six of the injured victims have been referred to Jaipur for treatment. Their condition is stated to be critical.

According to the preliminary investigation, the passengers in the jeep were on their way to Pali district of Rajasthan after visiting Haridwar and other religious places. The jeep lost control and rammed into the parked bus near Balaji Mod, causing the jeep to overturn. The police are not ruling out the possibility that the jeep driver had a nap, resulting in the tragic road accident.
