Jaipur: ACB arrests medical jurist for taking bribe
The accused doctor was demanding bribe to provide a postmortem report.

Jaipur: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested Dr BL Meena, deputed as medical jurist at Satellite Hospital in Sethi Colony in the city after he was allegedly caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The ACB had received a complaint against Dr B L Meena. “The complainant told us that Dr Meena was demanding Rs 10,000 to prepare a postmortem report of a fetus in a premature delivery. The ACB verified the complaint and when it was found genuine, a trap was laid,” said IG, ACB Sachin Mittal.
The trap was organized by Add SP, ACB (Jaipur rural) Narottam Varma.
“The medical jurist even offered to return 2000 of the bribe money to our complainant. After he was caught red-handed, we arrested him and booked him under various section of the Prevention of Corruption Act,” said the officer.
Further investigation is going on, he said.
Searches were being carried out at his residence, office and other places belonging to him.
