Jaipur: The dead body of an 8-year-old girl who had been kidnapped near her house around a week ago was found on the roadside at Madina Nagar in Khoh Nagoriyan area of Jaipur on Monday. The body was found buried under stones and rocks.

The girl’s family members had filed a report of her abduction at Khoh Nagoriyan police station. Police could find neither the girl nor the kidnappers.

The deceased has been identified as Madhu (8). She went missing a week ago and was found dead on Monday in Jaipur. The body of the deceased almost turned into a skeleton under the rocks.

The incident created panic in the locality after the body of the minor girl was spotted by some passersby. They informed the police following which the body was put in the mortuary of a hospital for a post-mortem examination.

According to the police, Madhu left for his father’s shop on September 25 from her house. But, she neither reached the shop nor returned home. Family members tried to find her but in vain.

Police suspect that somebody had kidnapped the girl on her way and killed her. The accused dumped her body under the rocks.

Police did not rule out the possibility of rape. The police are waiting for the post-mortem report.

People protested demanding immediate arrest of kidnappers who murdered the girl and later dumped the body. Police officials including DCP Gaurav Yadav, ACP, and SHO Virendra Singh reached the spot after getting the information.

The relatives of the girl are blaming the police for not trying hard to find the girl.
The family members lodged an FIR with the Khoh Nagoriyan Police station a week ago regarding Madhu’s abduction. Investigation is going on, a police officer said. Police are collecting evidence to identify the girl’s kidnappers.

Police officials said that they were trying to ascertain if it was a case of kidnapping.
