Jaipur: 6-year-old girl raped, murdered in Amer
The father sent the girl to a shop in their neighbourhood to buy some grocery items when Vikas kidnapped her and took her to an isolated place. He raped her and since the girl could identify him, he murdered her to avoid getting caught.

Jaipur: A six-year-old girl was raped and then murdered in Chenpura area of Amer in Jaipur on Tuesday. The girl was half necked when her body was found hidden in bushes on the roadside on Tuesday. The police have arrested a 19-year-old man, identified as Vikas Pansi, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, for the heinous crime. The accused used to work as a labourer with the girl’s father, police said.
The girl’s family also belongs to Uttar Pradesh. The girl’s mother had left the family nearly three years ago. The father was looking after the girl. Her three siblings live in UP, while the father works as a labourer in Jaipur.

“The girl was strangled to death. Some people spotted the body on Tuesday and informed the police following which a hunt was launched for Vikas who had been seen with the victim,” said a police officer.
Vikas was arrested and booked under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
